While visiting my brother on the Oregon Coast, I hiked Cape Lookout for the first time and would highly recommend it. The 2.4-mile (one way) trail included old growth trees, rugged cliff views and a bird’s eye view of mighty Pacific that’s hard to beat…For some reason the hike made me think of a quote from Melville I like: “For as this appalling ocean surrounds the verdant land, so in the soul of man there lies one insular Tahiti, full of peace and joy, but encompassed by all the horrors of the half known life.”…Found an easier way to provide access to the REMEMBERING ERIN trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cLfbhOlw0mU.
